Eli is such a smart boy!!! He is also putting words together to say phrases. Some frequently used combinations are: that way, up stairs, baby up, baby down, big wa-wa, cold wa-wa, Dada/Mama wa-wa, baby milk, milk cup, car key, baby girl, this one, good dog, Doc bone, Doc go, blue sock, blue car, Dada car, Gramma house…and my personal favorite- happy baby.
He even put three words together the other day- “Mama no work”- which absolutely broke my heart! He said it on our way driving me into downtown to work, but he said it before we had even crossed the river! I thought it was pretty amazing he would recognize that’s where we were going already, but he does the same thing and will start saying “home!” before you can see our house.
It is so fun to watch him learn new words! He is always hungry to learn more and loves having me read him vocabulary picture books! He can basically repeat any word you say to him now too…so far he hasn’t said any bad words, but it is something Mama is worried about.
